Von GSGG-Mitgliedern organisierte Veranstaltungen
Vom 15.-17. März 2017 findet im Historischen Gebäude der SUB (Papendiek 14) das XXXIII. Forum Junge Romanistik zum Thema Transformationen | Wandel, Bewegung, Geschwindigkeit statt. Ausgehend von gegenwärtigen Transformationen analysieren die Teilnehmenden aus Sprach-, Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaften historische und aktuelle Wandlungsprozesse in der Romania und angrenzenden Räumen. Das Forum Junge Romanistik ist eine interdisziplinäre, international wahrgenommene Nachwuchstagung unter dem Schirm des Deutschen Romanistenverbands.
Im Mittelpunkt der Tagung Coming of Age: Young Scholars in the Field of Folkloristics, Ethnology, and Anthropology steht der Austausch über akademische, intellektuelle und existenzielle Bedingungen sowie Karriereperspektiven des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses in den beteiligten Disziplinen und die Etablierung von individuellen wie institutionellen Kooperationen. Die Veranstaltung findet am 26 März 2017 im Vorfeld des SIEF Kongresses (International Society for Ethnology and Folklore) statt (27.-30. März 2017). Veranstaltungsort ist das ZHG (Platz der Göttingen Sieben 5).
Vom 27.-31. März 2017 findet im Konferenzraum der GSGG (Friedländer Weg 2) die Spring School „The Role of Empathy and Emotion in Understanding Fiction“ statt, die von Christiana Werner, Daniele Panizza („Sprache, Kognition und Text“) und Prof. Dr. Tilmann Köppe organisiert und großzügig von der VolkswagenStiftung gefördert wird.
An der Spring School nehmen 20 Promovierende und Postdocs aus neun verschiedenen Ländern teil, die gemeinsam mit renommierten Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern den Einfluss von Emotion und Empathie auf die Wahrnehmung und das Verständnis von fiktiver Literatur diskutieren. Die Keynote Speaker kommen u.a. von der University of York (UK), University of Cincinnati (USA), The State University of New York (USA) und der Freien Universität Berlin.
Das fünfte Nachwuchsforum der Internationalen Buchwissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft Grenzüberschreitungen – Bücher als Brücken findet am 6. und 7. April 2017 im Konferenzraum der GSGG (Friedländer Weg 2) statt. Mitveranstalter ist das GRK 1787 „Literatur und Literaturvermittlung im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung“. Die Tagung thematisiert inhaltliche, mediale, konzeptionelle, geographische, politische und juristische Dimensionen von Grenzüberschreitungen in Büchern und in der Buchbranche.

From 15th to 17th March the XXXIII. Forum Junge Romanistik will take place at University of Göttingen. On the topic of Transformationen ǀ Wandel, Bewegung, Geschwindigkeit current and historical transformation processes will be analysed from a Romance perspective and operating principles and implications will be illustrated.
The conference Coming of Age: Young Scholars in the Field of Folkloristics, Ethnology, and Anthropology (26th March 2017) focuses on the exchange of academic, intellectual and existential conditions as well as career prospects of young scholars in the participating disciplines and the establishing of individual as well as institutional cooperations. The sections of the conference include among others contributions which ethnographically reflect their own institutions and academic socialisation. The event will take place on 26th March 2017 in Göttingen.
From 27th to 31st March 2017 the Spring School “The Role of Empathy and Emotion in Understanding Fiction“ will take place in the conference room of GSGG (Friedländer Weg 2). It was organised by Christiana Werner and Daniele Panizza (“Language, Cognition and Text”) as well as Prof. Dr. Tilmann Köppe and was funded generously by VolkswagenStiftung.
20 doctoral candidates and postdocs from 9 different countries will be participating in the Spring School and discuss the impact of emotion and empathy on the perception and the understanding of fictional literature together with renowned scientists. The keynote speakers come from University of York (UK), University of Cincinnati (USA), The State University of New York (USA), Freie Universität Berlin and others.
The fifth Nachwuchsforum der Internationalen Buchwissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft will take place at DFG-Graduiertenkolleg 1787 „Literatur und Literaturvermittlung im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung“ on 6th/7th April 2017 on the subject of Grenzüberschreitungen – Bücher als Brücken. The aim of the event is the location of textual, medial, conceptual, geographic, political and legal dimensions of the crossing of borders in books and the book industry.
