At the start of May, Sabine Karger joined the Team as secretary. We’re looking forward to our cooperation with her.
Our lines of funding “allowances for conference trips” and “allowances for research trips” are still postponed. We will inform you the instant we can fund trips again.

We received some extensive feedback to our questions in the last newsletter how the pandemic influences your situation as a PhD student. Core areas were the access to libraries (we will forward your suggestions regarding improvement of the situation collectively), the compatibility of research and childcare and the financial situation. At 2 p.m. on June 23, our general meeting will take place, in which you will elect your representatives to the Executive Board. GSGG Day

The GSGG Day on November 5 will, for the first time since 2010, take place without the insights into the Humanities, since we only received two registrations due to the lack of reasonable predictions regarding the state of the pandemic in November. The Christian-Gottlob-Heyne-Preis, however, will still be given out this year. … Weiterlesen

Elections to the university’s doctoral student representation

The university’s doctoral student representation advises on questions regarding PhD students and gives suggestions to the university’s committees (senate and faculty councils). Its members will be elected by all PhD students at the University of Göttingen, subdivided by faculties.
