Lecture and workshop “Handling scientific objects. Researching the politics of hearing and (im) material knowledge (event in the framework of the research laboratories of the „Wissen | Ausstellen“ college)

The event deals with questions that are increasingly important and methodologically challenging for a history of knowledge that is interested in implicit knowledge in dealing with things: How can a cultural-scientific approach to object-related and to immaterial knowledge be designed? How can one’s own position and reception find its way into a text? How can gaps be addressed and made productive?
The research laboratories are a series of events organized by the graduate school “Wissen | Ausstellen. Eine Wissensgeschichte von Ausstellungen in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts”. After a public lecture, there will be a workshop in which the participants can put material from their own research up for discussion.
