Allowances for conference and research trips, reproduction expenses
Starting now, the GSGG is once more granting allowances for conference and research trips, but with pandemically influenced restrictions. Please consider whether your trip can be postponed and whether (in case of archive trips) you would like to apply for an allowance for reproduction expenses of archive material instead. Allowances for reproduction expenses will be granted less restrictively and more flexibly from now on: applications for up to € 300,00 can now be submitted at any time.
For travel expense applications, please heed the travel warnings from the Federal Foreign Office, the formalities and suggestions from our University concerning business trips (A-Z list) and our guidelines for conference and research trips. We need to inform you of the following:
- Business trips abroad need to be approved by the crisis squad (at least one week processing time).
- Doctoral students who aren’t employees of the University of Göttingen, travel at their own risk.
- A prolonged stay in a third country listed as a risk area can lead to the necessity of quarantine upon return due to Lower Saxon state law. This may lead to work-related consequences.
- The GSGG does not assume cancellation fees if trips cannot be started due to the pandemic.
As usual, only completed applications handed in within the time limit will be considered. Please use the current guidelines and forms, which can be found as PDF files on the respective websites.
