Workshop to develop a transfer strategy (German language event)

November 16, 2021, 10 AM – 12 PM, online

The guiding principle of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is under the motto „in publica commoda – for the good of all“ – and according to this motto, in addition to the goal of doing excellent research and teaching, the so-called third mission is increasingly moving into the focus of many universities. This term describes various activities of interaction between university and society, including knowledge and technology transfer, science-based spin-offs, but also science communication and further education. In order to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge, competencies and technologies from the university to society and the economy, an interdisciplinary team led by Prof. Kilian Bizer has been commissioned to develop a central transfer strategy for the university. This should not be created in a quiet room, but in an interactive process involving researchers, employees and students. In the first half of the year, 4 workshops on the topics of social innovation, life science, measurement technology as well as data science and digitization took place, in which scientists discussed the hurdles and needs of transfer activities. In a further workshop on September 16, 2021, probably from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., you as students, doctoral candidates, postdocs and academic staff at the university are invited to discuss important content and focal points of a university transfer strategy.

Registrations for the workshop are requested by 10.09.21 by email to kerstin.nies@uni-goettingen.de. The access data for the online event will then be sent to you.
