Tag der GSGG

On 1rst November 2018, the “Tag der GSGG“, which attracted 80 guests this time, took place.  The programme included the North Germanic mythology in the Marvel universe and the situation of Syrian refugees who belong to the broad spectrum of queer identities. Further short presentations dealt with the narrative communication in Homer’s Iliad or the landscaping in North Germany in the 18th century. The “Best Poster Prize” was awarded to Sandra Funck for her poster “Die Schülerbewegung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und Italien in den 1960er und 1970er Jahren“. The Christian-Gottlob-Heyne-Preis was awarded to the Arabist Christian Mauder for his dissertation „In the Sultan‘s Salon: Learning, Religion and Rulership at the Mamluk Court of Qāniṣawh al-Ghawrī (r. 1501-1516)“.
